FAQs from Reception Parents

Question

Answer

What are the timings of the school day?

We have a soft start from 8:35-8:45. If your child arrives after 8:45, please go to the office as they are late.  The school day ends at 3:15.

My child attended the nursery at 3B–when is their first day?

The first day for children who did attend Three Bridges for nursery is Friday, 8th September.

Where do I go on the first day?

Please enter the school grounds and head to the reception garden. It has a yellow fence with a blue gate.

Who is Stay & Play for?

Stay and Play is just for children who are new to Three Bridges Primary School. If your child attended nursery at 3B they will not attend Stay and Play.

What will Stay & Play be like?

You and your child will be invited into the classroom with other children and their families. This will provide an opportunity for children to get to know the classroom environment and some of the other children. While your child plays, you will have the chance to speak with the teachers.

Can we purchase the school bag during the Stay and Play?

Yes. They are £9.

For the tour and stay and play, should they wear their school uniform?

No, no need for your child to wear their uniform for Stay and Play, although you might choose to have them wear it to start their routine of getting dressed for school.
